Solaris Winter Music Festival announces 2017 lineup

JUST ANNOUNCED – INK Entertainment and Live Nation present Solaris Winter Music Festival – returning for its fifth edition with headliners Zeds Dead and Steve Aoki in the Main Room and NGHTMRE and Ookay inside NOIR.

The two-day festival happens from December 26th to 27th at REBEL and will feature previously mentioned headliners, Oliver Heldens, Slushii, as well as up-and-comers Parker and Bijou. Tickets go on sale Wednesday November 21st and start at $99.50.

Toronto’s own Zed’s Dead burst onto the scene back in their hometown with their weekly club night Bassmentality at Wrongbar, which hosted Skrillex, Borgore and Nero, and haven’t stopped since through their own event Deadrocks at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado and Deadbeats which originated in Toronto but has since gone global. The duo have released multiple EPs, as well as their debut album Northern Lights back in 2016. We’re excited to have these hometown heroes close out Day One of Solaris 2017.

Steve Aoki is an American electro house DJ, producer and music executive for label Dim Mak and no stranger to Toronto music festivals. Aoki has collaborated with artists such as Afrojack, Laidback Luke, Linkin Park and has done remixes for artists such as Kid Cudi. He has released several EPs and albums, notably Wonderland, which was nominated for Best Dance/Electronica Album at the 2013 Grammy Awards. As an INK Events regular, we’re stoked to have Steve close out the second and final day of Solaris 2017.
