Bisha Hotel celebrates 2nd Anniversary with Back 2 Bisha initiative

On November 27, 2017, Bisha Hotel & Residences burst on to the scene with a spectacular grand opening party for more than 1,000 guests. Now, two years later, the luxury hotel has succeeded in establishing its place as a creative hub in the heart of Toronto’s vibrant Entertainment District.

Recognized by Condé Nast Traveller as one of Toronto’s top hotels, Bisha is celebrating its two-year anniversary by offering special packages designed around the number ‘two’. On behalf of all guests, Bisha will also be giving back to the community. For every night’s stay in November, the hotel will make a donation to The Remix Project, a local arts-organization that helps young people in marginalized and under-served communities. With more than 3,000 pieces on display, art is a key pillar of the hotel.

Bisha Hotel Toronto was founded by visionary impresario Charles Khabouth, who was recognized as one of the ‘coolest boutique hotel owners in the world’ by Forbes Magazine. Since opening the hotel two years ago, Bisha has garnered numerous international accolades, been featured in glossy magazines, and hosted celebrities from the worlds of film, music, and sports.

“This is my first hotel project and we had a very specific vision of the role we wanted to play in the city,” says Charles Khabouth. “We felt there was opportunity for a hotel that is both luxurious and sexy, with a focus on art, design, and innovative dining concepts. To watch Bisha come to life and be so successful, in such a short time, is extremely gratifying.”

In addition to giving back to The Remix Project, the hotel will celebrate its second anniversary with a series of initiatives including:

ANNIVERSARY PACKAGE: Guests can take advantage of the ‘Back 2 Bisha’ anniversary offers this month. Package includes an overnight stay in one of the hotel’s luxurious rooms and breakfast for two at KŌST, the stunning Baja-inspired rooftop restaurant with one of the ‘dreamiest swimming pools in the world’, as recognized by Matador Network.

SOCIAL MEDIA CONTEST: The hotel is encouraging fans to share a favoured photo taken at the hotel using the hashtag #Back2Bisha for a chance to win an overnight stay and breakfast for two.

LIMITED EDITION MENUS: At the highly acclaimed Akira Back, fans will delight in a special limited edition anniversary menu that features new items including ribeye tacos and poached lobster from Michelin Star Chef Akira Back. At French Made, the hotel’s Parisian-inspired café, signature Birthday Cake slices will be available throughout the month.

TIFF Weekend Recap: Hustlers Premiere at Sofia, The Friend Premiere at KOST & more

A busy weekend for INK Entertainment and ICONINK venues Sofia Restaurant & Bar, KOST, Patria and Bisha Hotel & Residences as the opening weekend of TIFF hit Toronto’s entertainment district. Sofia, KOST and Patria played host to premiere parties and Bisha had many a star sighting from Friday to Sunday.

The Friend – based on the award-winning Esquire article of the same name, the film focuses on a man who puts his life on hold when his friend is diagnosed with terminal cancer – hosted its premiere party at KOST this past Friday night. Cast members Jason Segel, Dakota Johnson, Isabella Kai, Marielle Scott and the film’s producers were all in attendance to enjoy specialty cocktails and canapés mirroring the restaurant’s menu.

World Class and Audi presented the Hustlers premiere party this past Saturday at Sofia Restaurant & Bar. The comedy-drama depicting strippers out for revenge stars the festival’s biggest cast and cast members Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu, Lili Reinhart, Julia Stiles and Keke Palmer were all in attendance on Saturday night. Other notable guests included Bo Burnham, Tie Domi, Madeline Brewer, director Lorene Scafaria, Mette Towley, Tracey Ullman and Mitchell Travers.

Patria hosted the premiere party for Knives Out this past Saturday, as well, which included appearances from cast members Daniel Craig, Toni Collette, Chris Evans, Christopher Plummer, Jamie Lee Curtis, Don Johnson and Katherine Langford. 

Bisha was also no stranger to a celebrity sighting – From Friday to Sunday, stars such as Annette Bening, Antonio Banderas, Eddie Redmayne, Ellen Page, Jon Hamm, Kristen Stewart, Priyanka Chopra-Jonas, Felicity Jones, Ray Liotta and Willem Dafoe all made an appearance at the luxury hotel.

Lenny Kravitz & Kravitz Design Inc celebrate launch of the Kravitz Design Floor at Bisha

On Tuesday, September 3rd, Lenny Kravitz and his team at Kravitz Design Inc, gathered at Bisha Hotel Toronto to celebrate the launch of the Kravitz Design Floor. After an afternoon of exclusive interviews with some of Canada’s top writers and magazine editors, Kravitz welcomed 40 guests in the Bisha Suite, a 2,000 square foot duplex designed by Kravitz and his team.

Noteworthy guests included: TIFF Artistic Director & Co-Head, Cameron Bailey, MLSE President and CEO, Michael Friisdahl, film & music video producer, Director X and Canadian TV personality, Tyrone Edwards.

Certified Cool: Charles Khabouth on Forbes’ list of “Coolest Boutique Hotel Owners”

Forbes just released their list of the World’s Top Ten Coolest Boutique Hotel Owners and INK Entertainment‘s own Charles Khabouth is given the official cool certification thanks to Bisha Hotel & Residences.

The article discusses the complexity and significance of brand collaboration or multi-concept branding in boutique hospitality and how artistically inclined brands find the hospitality space uncertain but prosperous when expanding into the field.

In regards to Khabouth, Writer Frances Kiradijan, Founder and CEO, Boutique and Lifestyle Leaders Association (BLLA), states: “Nightclub developer Charles Khabouth saw a market for hotels that combine “cool” hotel experiences with luxury service, a notion that he brought to Bisha, his hotel collaboration with musical icon Lenny Kravitz. Akira Back receives stellar review from the Globe & Mail

Special to the Globe & Mail, Jason Chow sat down at Akira Back located inside Bisha Hotel & Residences for an in-depth review of one of INK Entertainment‘s latest restaurants. The review highlights Chef Akira’s history, as well as a detailed description of the izakaya-style menu. Akira Back received three out of four stars from Chow and the Globe & Mail.
