Akira Back receives first Michelin star prior to Bisha restaurant opening

The 2018 Michelin Guide Seoul announced that renowned Chef Akira Back was awarded one Michelin star for his innovative restaurant concept DOSA in Seoul, South Korea.

“To be recognized and awarded one Michelin Star is an amazing honor for me,” said Chef Akira Back. “And to be given such a prestigious honor in my hometown is truly an incredible achievement. Korean cuisine has constantly been my inspiration as I open restaurants around the world, so to receive this award here is very special.”

Back was born in Korea but was raised in Aspen, Colarado and grew up as a snowboarder on the slopes in Colarado. He now operates restaurants in Las Vegas, Jakarta, and Delhi, as well as opening his own restaurant, Akira Back, inside Bisha Hotel and Residences in late-November.

The Bisha Toronto, INK Entertainment and ICONINK staff would like congratulate Akira Back on his first of many Michelin stars and look forward to having be a part of the team.
